  • Research Shop Assistant (Gender-Based Violence Project)

About the Project

Reporting to the Research Projects Manager at CESI, the Research Shop Assistant will work closely with research leads at Sustainable Livelihoods Canada to support a federally funded “From Crisis to Collaboration: A Systems Change Blueprint for Gender-Based Violence Organizations” project led by Sustainable Livelihoods Canada. 

About the Role

The Research Shop Assistant will work closely with one or more non-profit organizations working to prevent or reduce gender-based violence in Ontario. Together they will help build a shared understanding of the barriers to economic security and prosperity among women and gender-diverse people working in non-profit organizations and those they support. They will help develop, pilot, and measure solutions to address identified barriers.

The candidate will work closely with an interdisciplinary team to support this ongoing research project. This position will require a time commitment of 5-10 hours per week starting in September 2024 to August 2025. This positions pays $25.00/hour.

Duties, required skills and experience, and application instructions are listed in the posting attached below. Training will be provided to the selected candidate. The candidate must currently be registered as a student at the University of Guelph and may be from any program.
