Why I am working with the Research Shop: My interest in conducting research that can make a meaningful impact upon our community drew me to work at the Research Shop. While interning at the Research Shop, I hope to gain further experience working with community organizations, performing program evaluations and becoming more involved in the Guelph community. The skills I gain from being a graduate intern informs my broader career goals of consulting work and further advancing social justice agendas through feminist and community psychology research.
Program of Study: I am a PhD student in the Applied Social Psychology program at the University of Guelph. My research explores women's use and practices of vaginal hygiene products and the broader marketing of these products to women.
