Reason for working at CESI: As a student navigating how research from the context of an academic space can be conducted in caring and equitable ways with community, I am curious and excited to learn about the approaches and practices of CESI. Moved forward by their resonant drive to make use of campus resources toward community-identified research goals, I believe their experience and critical investigations of power dynamics can be a model for many of us. I feel grateful to be on the team so I might work with like-hearted people with inspiring passions, hopefully resonating caring ways of being and doing beyond my academic work.
