Knowing how to engage your stakeholders effectively is key to achieving research impact. This second workshop of the ‘Skills for Research Impact’ series will take a deeper look at the benefits of engaging your audiences throughout your research process, and look at best practices for reaching out to stakeholders from various sectors. In this session, you will:
- Be introduced to the ‘co-created pathway to impact’ as a framework for integrated knowledge mobilization
- Learn about principles and best practices for stakeholder engagement
- Discuss examples of what effective engagement looks like in practice; and how it differs in the policy, community or industry sectors
- Reflect on your own audiences and start planning for enhanced engagement
This workshop will be led by Dr. David Phipps, Executive Director, Research & Innovation Services at York University and Network Director, Research Impact Canada.
