Kate Parizeau

Faculty Advisory Board Member
Kate is a faculty member in the Department of Geography, Environment & Geomatics at the University of Guelph. She is interested in research questions concerning the social context of waste and its management. Her research uses waste management practices as a lens through which to interrogate complex systems of social organization and human exchanges with the natural world. Kate has studied informal recycling, waste management systems, and individual-level waste behaviours and beliefs in diverse contexts. Her community partners have included municipalities, non-profit organizations, and other actors in food and waste systems.
