Why I'm working with the Research Shop: Throughout the course of my studies, I was fortunate to have been introduced to community engaged scholarship and research in various courses. After completing multiple projects within a course context, I became very interested in community engaged research, which led me to the Research Shop, which I hope will continue to provide me with opportunities to explore research within a community-relationship context! I am very excited to be part of the Research Shop and the varying projects it takes on.
Program of Study: I am pursuing my Masters in Sociology, with my thesis focusing on rape culture education, particularly understanding the impact gender norm adherence has on undergraduate students' likeliness to accept rape myths, and participate in rape culture education and prevention initiatives.
