Meghan Wrathall
Research Shop Project Manager
Why I Am Working at the Research Shop: Through my experience as a rural researcher, I have adopted the philosophy that place matters. By working with the Research Shop, I am able to conduct meaningful community-based research grounded in local voices, to address complex social issues that impact people’s everyday lives.
Program of Study: As a Ph.D. Candidate in Sociology, I am analyzing the National Cannabis Survey to examine differences in cannabis use and behaviours pre- and post-legalization. This research is comparative across the rural-urban continuum and looks at issues such as cannabis-impaired driving, mental health, and knowledge/attitudes of cannabis use.
