We're Hiring! Graduate Research Assistant (Full-Time, Summer 2023)
Join our team! The Guelph Lab is hiring one student for the following position:
- Graduate Research Assistant (ACOCs Project; full-time, Summer 2023)
About the Project
In Ontario, Advisory Committees of Council (ACOCs) are a well-established component of municipal policy administration. They address a wide range of topics, including accessibility, transit, heritage, the arts, and more. They might also offer significant policy advice in crucial areas of municipal responsibility. Despite their widespread use, little research has explored how ACOCs function, and there are few resources available to assist Ontario’s 444 municipalities in developing and operationalizing new and existing ACOCs.
This project will explore the form and function of the City of Guelph's ACOCs and develop a framework to guide the creation and use of ACOCs.
About the Role
This position will require a time commitment of 35 hours per week from June - September 2023. This position will require some in-person work in Guelph, but most work can be completed remotely.
Duties, required skills and experience, and application instructions are listed in the posting attached below. Training will be provided to the selected candidate. This position is open to graduate students from across the University of Guelph; the incumbent must currently be registered as a student and remain registered throughout the employment term.
Application Deadline
9am, Monday April 10, 2023.
