Why I am working with the Research Shop: Interdisciplinary teams with community-campus partnerships are key in forming a resilient, inclusive society and landscape. It is a privilege to collaborate with a diverse team at the University of Guelph, while we add our evolving expertise to tackle what social planners call 'wicked problems'. By working with the Research Shop, I am engaging in discussions with wide audiences, sharing tools on community mobilization and empowerment, and refining my research skills in qualitative analysis.
Program of Study: For my Master's in Landscape Architecture, I am researching how community-based research can be translated into meta-data sets to inform systems of design and create 'quality inclusive streetscapes'.
