Research Shop Digital Stories
Research Shop Digital Stories
The impacts and experiences of community engaged research and community-university partnerships can be challenging to share via traditional research and knowledge dissemination methods. In response to these challenges, CESI hosted a digital storytelling workshop run by Re-Vision: The Centre for Art and Social Justice to explore a range of experiences and impacts that have come about through working with the Research Shop. In this workshop, a small group of participants reflected on their experience working with the Research Shop as students, staff, and community partners. They created short multimedia videos that shared their personal narrative of growth and change through their participation in community-university engagement, including something that they had learned or that had changed as a result of working with the Research Shop.
These stories were screened for the first time at Guelph's Research Shop in an International Context, the symposium held to mark the Research Shop's 10th anniversary in Fall of 2019. They will continue to be shared as snapshots of individual experiences with community-engaged research.
A selection of these digital stories are available for online viewing at the Atrium.
